As we continue to expand our presence in various industries both with local and international clients, we are seeking a highly motivated Head of Accounting and VAT department to join our team and expand their knowledge and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage and coordinate the team of the Accounting Department
    • Communicate with TAX, VAT and Social Insurance offices
    • Review and verify Trial Balances for audit
    • Review and verify VAT Returns
    • Plan and oversee the submission process of various tax obligations i.e. Employers’ Return (TD7), temporary tax, Personal tax returns (TD1) etc.
    • Oversee the various registration processes i.e. VAT, VIES, Tax and Social Insurance registrations
    • Monitor the efficiency of the Accounting department and suggest methods of improvement
    • Client invoice management
    • Perform other duties as required
    • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to follow internal policies and procedures

Profile and Qualifications:

    • Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent
    • A professional qualification (or part-qualification) in ACCA/ACA will be considered an advantage
    • Experience in a similar position for at least 2 years
    • Fluent in verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
    • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask in a busy and demanding work environment
    • Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
