As we continue to expand our presence in various industries both with local and international clients, we are seeking a highly motivated Head of Accounting and VAT department to join our team and expand their knowledge and experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage and coordinate the team of the Accounting Department
- Communicate with TAX, VAT and Social Insurance offices
- Review and verify Trial Balances for audit
- Review and verify VAT Returns
- Plan and oversee the submission process of various tax obligations i.e. Employers’ Return (TD7), temporary tax, Personal tax returns (TD1) etc.
- Oversee the various registration processes i.e. VAT, VIES, Tax and Social Insurance registrations
- Monitor the efficiency of the Accounting department and suggest methods of improvement
- Client invoice management
- Perform other duties as required
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow internal policies and procedures
Profile and Qualifications:

- Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent
- A professional qualification (or part-qualification) in ACCA/ACA will be considered an advantage
- Experience in a similar position for at least 2 years
- Fluent in verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy and demanding work environment
- Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
